Blending text, voice, and physical intensity, FLÓBÉR moves between intimacy and distance, drawing the audience into close proximity while confronting symbols of authority and control.
The work brings together interview material and autobiographical fragments from the performers, tracing how ideas of identity and belonging are formed, transmitted, and contested. Positioned between Portugal and the United States — the performers’ respective contexts — the piece reflects on shared structures of religion and nationalism, exposing their echoes across different settings.

FLÓBÉR (2024–2025)
MISTRIAL is a participatory performance about citizenship, belonging and collective responsibility, structured through two independent solos by Ren Mauney and Telmo Branco.
In his solo, Telmo Branco generates social tensions through seemingly ordinary conversations with audience members and through a physical language that moves between civic empathy and militarism. The work explores how everyday social behaviours can function as informal mechanisms of surveillance and collective control. The performer also uses his body to confront symbols of nationalism and authority.
Through these interactions, the piece examines how behaviour is collectively shaped and how individuals position themselves in relation to social codes, systems and one another.

MISTRIAL (2024 - 2025)
THE MARCH is an interdisciplinary performance developed within the Humboldt Forum in Berlin.
Working with a group of queer participants from diverse backgrounds, the project explored how bodies inhabit and are shaped by a space marked by colonial histories.
Through collective actions, voice, and movement, the work unfolded as a temporary occupation of the space — shifting between protest, presence, and shared visibility.

THE MARCH (2022 - 2023)
A performance trilogy about the body, silence and fragmentation.
Developed through fragmented situations in which speech is interrupted, repeated or restrained, The Unspeakable explores how experiences of social marginalization become inscribed in the body. Rooted in cultural contexts marked by conservative legacies, the work approaches themes such as homophobia, identity erasure and cultures of silence.
Moving between text, physical composition and symbolic language, the trilogy follows a body in constant negotiation with social structures that limit its visibility, legibility and possibilities for expression.
